When it comes to fairy cakes, I pick cactus themed. Whilst more effort that a buttercream swirl, the cactus piping is still pretty easy to do and satisfying to watch. I chose chocolate cake to represent soil, making them look like potted succulents.

Gluten Free Vegan German Themed Cupcakes
What makes these cupcakes German you ask? The colours, that is all I have loosely tying them to my theme, but they are still delicious 🇩🇪 I kept these ones simple to focus on the colours. They’re a classic vanilla buttercream on chocolate muffin sized cupcakes.
How To Pipe A Two-Toned Rose Cupcake
If you’ve ever wondered how you can pipe with multiple colours, this is how you can do exactly that. Even better you can do it without using anything fancier than you would to pipe a rose or whatever shape you have a piping tip for. You can also use this method to pipe multiple colours,Continue reading “How To Pipe A Two-Toned Rose Cupcake”
Gluten Free Vegan Rosette Cake
There’s something so satisfying about piping icing and a rosette cake has loads of it. Is the cake half icing? Maybe. For my first attempt at an ombre rosette cake it could have turned out worse, but I think I could make it neater next time.

Chocolate Ganache With A Vegan Option
It doesn’t get much tastier than ganache. It’s creamy, chocolatey and just delicious. You can use it as a filling, to make cake pops or cover a cake and that’s just the buttercream-esque form. Whilst you can make truffles, mousse style desserts or sauces out of ganache, I’m going to focus on the ratio forContinue reading “Chocolate Ganache With A Vegan Option”
Mocha Buttercream With A Vegan Option
Buttercream is an absolute essential! You can cover a cake, style a cupcake in multiple ways, fill a macaron, pipe a flower, it goes on.. It is so easy to add flavour to whatever you’re making with buttercream and I love the flavour of drinks in mine, be that alcoholic or not. You’ll have noContinue reading “Mocha Buttercream With A Vegan Option”
